Visual- Spatial
People with Visual/Spatial intelligence are very aware of their surroundings and are good at remembering images.
They have a keen sense of direction and often enjoy maps. They have a sharp sense of space, distance and
measurement. The characteristics of a child with Visual /Spatial intelligence enjoys drawing, painting, pottery,
sculpting, interprets pictures, recognises patterns easily.
In the 1 st Term 2019-20, as part of the Visual / Spatial intelligence club learnt :

Bodily- Kinesthetic
Kinesthetic Intelligence is the ability to use one’s body with great precision, helping to facilitate the
implementation of our goals and personal objectives. Those with kinesthetic intelligence are able
to use the body to move from intention to action. This type of intelligence involves coordination,
balance, skill, speed, strength, and dexterity. In short, it relies on tactile mechanisms and human
movement to get information.
It is crucial for our own wellbeing, to remember the importance of unity, balance and harmony of
both concepts, Logical and Kinesthetic Intelligence, by keeping in mind that the body and mind go
hand in hand in our development. The “reflective” or cerebral part is equally as necessary as the
“active” or physical part of us.
As part of the club, students enjoyed their Bodily-Kinesthetic club participating and learning the
following sports.
CHESS

Robotics
STEAM Learning integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics, with key skills such as problem
solving, strategic thinking and collaboration. Digital & Design Technologies aims to develop the knowledge,
understanding and skills to ensure that, individually and collaboratively, students develop confidence as critical users
of technologies and designers and producers of designed solutions, and they design, create, manage and evaluate
sustainable and innovative digital solutions.
Keeping that in mind, our young scientists, engineers, mathematicians have collaborated with peers and learnt how
to Design, Make and Learn. Some highlights of what the kids have learnt in the Robotics club are given below :
1) Introduction to Robotics
2) Learning the controls
3) Dancing Bot
4) Play with shape cards
5) Direction test – Learning to program the Bot to move from start to end point
6) Bee-Bot – Making the Bot travel across the letter in the word
7) Jigsaw – Learning to drag and drop
8) Sequencing - Learning how to write Algorithm
